Overview:     Provided strategic guidance on marketing plan development and execution to leverage existing consumer base to maximize budget for comedian Mike Birbiglia's one-man show opening at the off-Broadway Bleecker Street theatre.

Situation: Mike Birbiglia is an up-and-coming Comedy Central comedian who has written (and stars in) a show; producers Eli Gonda, Ryan Scott Warren, and Nathan Lane are bringing the show to NYC audiences.

The show had a limited budget and extremely tight timeframes in which to fill theater seats.

Action: Facilitated marketing strategy session to identify primary consumer targets and optimal marketing vehicles (given budgets and timing constraints).

Identified activities that would activate the existing base of consumers and maximize "buzz value".

Result: Theater was filled (often to capacity); run extended by two months due to strong response.

Show buzz has been built virally via a strong digital marketing campaign and has been enhanced by strong reviews and exposure in The New York Times, The Onion, Time Out New York, The View, Fox News, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, David Letterman and many others.
